Merlin steals the show at winter open day
Bailey’s Country Store will be hosting its annual ‘Winter Open Day’ in Penryn on Saturday, 30th November. Funds raised on the day will be donated to the Flicka Foundation, a safe haven for rescued donkeys such as Merlin, 20, (pictured left).
The Eight Wire team has designed and printed a festive, double-sided A5 invitation. In addition, a PR campaign is under way to encourage people to pledge donations to the charity. Visitors can find out more from local newspapers, digital publications and social media feeds on Facebook and Twitter with a Falmouth and Penryn focus.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to meet the donkeys (08:30-16:00) and sample fresh, local produce while picking up winter fuel, pet, equine or wild-bird supplies. A mince pie and glass of mulled wassail cider from Cornish Orchards will provide a warm glow.
