Sara PughManaging director
Sara, who oversees all the creative output of the studio and keeps projects on time and on budget, has been an elected member of the Institute of Typographic Designers (ISTD) since 2002.
A graphic design graduate of Falmouth College honed her design skills working for the British Film Institute on the 2002 London Film Festival. Her design work has been beamed around the world, pasted across Tube station platforms, London buses and hung on the front of The Odeon in Leicester Square as stars walked up the red carpet.
Sara returned to Cornwall in 2003 as art director of the international fitness title Ultrafit before founding Eight Wire in 2004.
David joins us from Tregothnan Estate where he looked after all things digital. He loves taking a goals orientated approach to website builds and marketing projects, making sure that your project will have the maximum return for your business. David has a wealth of experience in ecommerce conversion optimisation, Google platforms, SEO auditing and strategic marketing.
If he’s not in the office, you’ll most likely find him kitesurfing when it’s windy and at the wakeboard parks when it’s not.
Louisa is a committed and future-focused marketer who loves to deliver well-written content, creative ideas, and secure local and national PR for clients.
She is a graduate in Fashion Marketing from Winchester School of Art, where she developed a passion for staying head of the curve in trend, culture and new marketing tools. If she’s not busy heading to London for music and gallery filled weekends, you can find her at a gig in town or creating community zines for Falmouth and Penryn.
Natalie joins the marketing team at Eight Wire. After studying Fashion Design at Falmouth University, she has previously worked for fashion designers in London, with experience in B2C marketing in Cornwall. Influenced by her concept led education and commercial experience, Natalie’s multi-disciplinary approach brings fresh ideas that benefits both clients and the studio.
Staying trend aware, analytical and curious is a priority – and when she’s not scoping out the latest digital developments, she can be found painting Cornish landscapes, or running on the beach with her dog, Barney.
Susan DavisStudio manager
As well as keeping the office running like a well-oiled machine, our administrative genius Susan can proudly claim to be the person who keeps the heart of Eight Wire’s happy team healthy and strong.
Susan joined Eight Wire from the online experience sales site BuyAGift.co.uk where she headed the accounts support as part of the team responsible for growth into the firm’s status as market leader. Susan looks after our billing and human resources when she’s not out paddle-boarding or surfing with her family.
Katie PuremontSenior designer
With an infectious enthusiasm for all aspects of design and a keen interest in illustration, Katie creates compelling designs for all manner of applications. From branding concepts, design for print and advertising through to websites and HTML emails, Katie delivers designs that transform our clients’ campaigns.
Katie has a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from Falmouth College of Arts and eight years’ hands-on experience in different areas of the design industry ranging from editorial, advertising, branding, online, illustration and photography.
Favi ColmenaresGraphic designer
Passionate about graphic design, illustration and photography, Favi is highly experienced in working on brand identity, packaging, web design, social media, content creation and print collateral not to mention a few apps for the iPhone.
With an international track record, Favi loves to achieve positive outcomes through design and has been working, in various countries, as a graphic designer since 1996.
Rick FellowsGraphic designer
Rick is a highly creative graphic designer who has delivered high impact design for big names while working for well-known agencies in London. Committed to his art but also to his family, Rick returned to Falmouth where he originally studied design at the then Falmouth College of Art, now Falmouth University. Rick is a great person to work with and a bright mind that is constantly looking for new ideas and ways to represent them through design.
Andy PerronSenior web developer
With more than 15 years of extensive, professional web development experience, Andy excels at coding in all website programming languages.
He has a wealth of experience creating websites for a wide range of organisations and acted as lead web developer for Cornwall NHS.
With a creative spark and personal involvement in a wide variety of multimedia projects, Andy is a vital member of the Eight Wire digital team.
Danny PittsWeb developer
Danny brings, enthusiasm, drive and fresh ideas to our coding/web development department. He has experience coding across the board and was able to showcase these skills while achieving his BA (Hons) in Digital Media at Falmouth University. As well as developing his own game he’s also built apps and websites while freelancing in his own time.
Outside of coding, you may find Danny scaling leisure centre walls and bouldering (this is a form of rock climbing we are told!) while sneaking a cheeky Snickers bar as fuel for the return journey. In his downtime he enjoys gaming and reading about psychology and philosophy.
Matt DixonWeb developer
With a keen interest in technology and its implementation, Matthew is a developer with a background in solid front-end code. A perfectionist from start to finish, Matthew’s eye for detail ensures his work always reaches a high standard. His passions outside of work include playing and producing music, a variety of sports, and messing about with computers
Andrew SleighWeb developer
Blessed with an eye for detail, Andrew is a web developer specialising in WordPress as well as CSS, jQuery, MySQL and PHP platforms. Andrew’s experience lies in the field of content management and search engine optimisation with a particular focus on delivering efficient website design for Eight Wire’s clients.
Andrew graduated from Hertfordshire University with a BSc in audio science where he learned the web design skills he later developed working as a freelance website designer prior to joining the team at Eight Wire. Andrew is passionate about using dynamic code to create visually distinct web design with strong cross-platform functionality. He is also learning the trombone.
A trained writer, Jamie is an accomplished digital marketer who thrives on seeing our strategies work for our clients. A passionate advocate of the Eight Wire brand and ethos. In 2015 he delivered a successful business start-up accelerator for Northumbria University.
A graduate in English and linguistics of Exeter University, Jamie trained as a journalist and, following time as a reporter for the Western Morning News he freelanced in the national press before co-founding Eight Wire. Jamie is an advocate of great business ideas and high-quality, compelling content in digital and offline marketing.
